Went to see Larry Crowne (with an E) after work with Ariel and Sophie.
It's starred by Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks, but not a typical Romcom.
Heard that the rating is not so good, but still wanna give it a try.
Julia wrote "CARE" on the blackboard in the beginning of the movie,
but I don't think it's the theme of this movie.
For me, it's more about the courage to change your attitude,
to accept who you are, and to start all over again.
And the movie is quite practical in some way,
(not every way coz people usually don't have professors as beautiful as Julia...)
like the part when Tom Hanks got fired and turned down byevery boss
coz the times are not so good. (phew~)
Err, I'm not sure if the scooter means anything in this movie.
In Taipei, you could see scooters EVERYWHERE so it's not special at all.
In the States, I haven't seen so many people riding scooters!!! seriously...!!
Anyways, the movie is relaxing and humor, yet again,
it's not the typical Romcom people think.
Unlike typical Romcom, such as "No Strings Attached,"
"Larry Crowne" is more like "Elizabeth Town" or "The Mexican."
"A fool’s brain digests philosophy into folly,
science into superstition,
and art into pedantry. Hence University education." – George Bernard Shaw
And I always adore the atmosphere of this kind of movie. :)
I like Julia's smile, really sweet!
Attractive supporting actress and actor!!!
Movie poster from ....some country~
Tom Hanks looks so ooooooold in this photo!! suprised!!
